Declaration of Unity from the Christian and
Muslim Community To Address HIV/AIDS in Nigeria
HIV/AIDS InterFaith Initiative
The Balm In Gilead and The Christian Health Association of Nigeria

As Nigerian Christian and Muslim faith leaders, we declare that we must come together,
hold hands and put faith in the forefront and design education programs for our
faith communities and by our faith communities.
As the Christian and Muslim community, we will combat HIV/AIDS as a family with
unity and respect for one another.
As the Christian and Muslim community, we will educate and provide HIV/AIDS facts
for our leadership and our members to address the problem of HIV/AIDS in Nigeria.
As the Christian and Muslim community, we endorse and are committed to a continued
partnership with The Balm In Gilead and will continue to support the participation
of our members in training programs.
As the Christian and Muslim community, we are committed to developing a platform
for Christian and Muslim youth to come together to stop the spread of HIV/AIDS.
As the Christian and Muslim community, we are supporting the Nigeria Week of Prayer
and Education for the Healing of AIDS, an international program of The Balm In
Gilead, which will be designed in partnership with the Christian and Muslim community
of Nigeria.
