Thank You For Making AIDS Walk New York A Success!
Walkers from around the world raised a whopping $5.4 million dollars for the 2004 AIDS Walk New York walkathon, held this past weekend. The 19th Annual AIDS Walk New York brought over 45,000 walkers to New York City on Sunday, May 16th.
The Balm In Gilead’s AIDS Walk Team worked hard to raise money from throughout the community. 100% of all money raised through the AIDS Walk Team will go directly to support The Balm In Gilead’s work providing services, HIV/AIDS education and building support networks for all people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS.
Walkers, sponsors and others spent months in preparation for the event and it certainly paid off! The AIDS Walk followed a 10K route that trailed around Central Park in Manhattan in the sunny, 78-degree weather. The Balm In Gilead, Inc.™ thanks everyone who participated in the fundraising efforts and is looking forward to expanding The Balm In Gilead AIDS Walk Team for 2005!
