Join The Balm In Gilead Team at
AIDS Walk New York
On May 16, 2004, join thousands of others, including staff,
friends, family, fellow congregants and other supporters, who will walk to benefit
The Balm In Gilead at the 2004 AIDS Walk New York.
Keeping in step with our successful gala, An Evening at The Waldorf Astoria
with Nancy Wilson, and Divas: Simply Singing a fundraiser starring Sheryl
Lee Ralph, both successful events that took place in March, The Balm In Gilead
is recruiting 500 walkers from across the New York Metropolitan area, members
of The Balm In Gilead AIDS Walk Team are raising funds to benefit The Balm In
Gilead's important work building the capacity of Black faith communities in the
U.S. and Africa to provide services, HIV/AIDS education and support networks for
people living with, and affected, by HIV/AIDS.

"AIDS Walk New York offers an exciting chance for us to come together with
our supporters to make a difference for The Balm In Gilead," says Founder
and CEO Pernessa Seele. "This walk has grown to be the single largest
AIDS fundraiser in the world," she continues, "and 100% of proceeds
donated to The Balm In Gilead's walkers will go to support The Balm and its work."
The AIDS Walk is a 10K (6.2 mile) walk that starts in New York City's beautiful
Central Park and continues through the streets to the cheers of supporters all
lined up along the route. You can walk it fast or walk it slow, so gather together
with family and friends and join us for a healthy good time that will help save
lives.

Walk then click on “Register”, then choose "Join A Team," and then select
The Balm In Gilead 8391 team from the pull-down menu.
