    ...................................................................................................

As a pillar of strength in the Black community, the Black Church has taken up the cross in the fight against HIV/AIDS with Our Church Lights The Way: The Black Church HIV Testing Campaign. We are sending messages of love and hope to those living with HIV/AIDS through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We are offering uplifting words of inspiration to those infected and affected by HIV/AIDS and we are telling everyone in our community to take a stand and help us stop the spread of HIV by getting tested.

If you don't think this subject matter applies to you, think again:

Did you know...that if you just walk out on the street and look around at the faces of everyday Black men, one in 50 is HIV positive?

Did you know...that for every 160 Black women you see, there is one living with HIV and the number of Black women infected with HIV is growing at an alarming rate?

Did you know...that if you have unprotected sex just once you can get HIV?

Did you know...that AIDS is the number one cause of death for all of our African American sisters and brothers between the ages of 25 and 44?

Did you know…that HIV/AIDS is devastating our sisters and brothers in Africa, the worst HIV infected and affected continent on the planet?

Did you know...that our sisters and brothers in the Caribbean have the second worst HIV rate in the world and that the rate of HIV/AIDS in the islands is increasing?

"In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed."
