The Black Church Institute on HIV/AIDS and Other Health
Disparities is designed to build the capacity of African American
congregations to establish and/or strengthen education, prevention,
testing and supportive services that will address the alarming
public health crises of HIV/AIDS, cervical cancer, Hepatitis C and
other health disparities within our communities.
This national conference
will feature some of the nation’s top experts in the areas of
health and religion.
Who Should Attend?
Pastors, Christian educators, youth ministers, pastoral counselors,
deacons, missionaries, representatives of health ministries, nursing
units and others holding leadership positions within their congregations
should attend.
The Black Church Institute will provide training, support, networking
and encouragement to those who are already engaged and to those
who are seeking guidance in how to begin an effective response to
the enormous public health crisis of HIV/AIDS and other health
disparities within African American communities.
