HealthShare: An on-line course on Developing an Effective Health Ministry
(Coming: April, 2010)
Your congregational Health Coordinator can receive on-line training on setting up a health ministry that can be designed to fit the needs of your congregation.
Led by the creator of Power in the Pews: Having A Heart for Health, Dr. Hilda Davis-Carroll, you will receive assistance with building a customized plan and on-going technical support after the three-hour on-line training.
This popular program was originally designed for the Tennessee Department of Health's Faith-Based Initiative and has been used successfully with congregations across the country. This program has now been revised for The Balm In Gilead's HealthShare on-line congregational health community.
Registration Fee is $25. When you register you will receive access to free downloadable materials that will include: The training curriculum; a sample covenant for a commitment ceremony for the volunteers; evaluation tools and assessment forms and options for adapting the curriculum for your own training within your congregation.
