CONFERENCE INFORMATION
National Certification and Capacity Building Conference for
Engaging Black Churches in HIV/AIDS Education and Service
July 23-26, 2002
The Hilton Desoto Hotel
Savannah, GA
REMINDER : One of the requirements
of partnership with The Balm In Gilead is attending the National Certification
and Capacity Building Conference for Engaging Black Churches in HIV/AIDS Education
and Service. To attend the training, please follow the directions below. All
partners must attend this annual conference every year. Participants must attend
the entire conference.
Application Process
- Please submit the application form (click
here) and all required documents (reqirements)
along
with registration fee by July 8, 2002.
- THERE WILL BE NO ON-SITE REGISTRATION.
- Your organization will be notified of your acceptance within one
week of receiving your application. If not accepted, registration fee will be
returned.
Conference Registration Fee
The registration fee is $325 per person. Your registration fee covers the cost
of conference training and materials, certification processing and daily breakfast
and lunch only.
Hotel Accommodations
The Balm In Gilead has reserved rooms for participants at The Hilton Desoto Savannah,
GA at a rate of $114 per person per night (single or double occupancy).
Participants must call the hotel at 912-232-9000 to reserve rooms. Hotel
reservations must be made by June 30, 2002 to guarantee room rate and availability.
Upon making your hotel registration, please inform The Balm In Gilead that you
will be attending.
Travel Arrangements
Participants must make their own travel plans. Most major airlines provide carrier
service into the Savannah area. Please arrange with the hotel for FREE shuttle
service to and from the hotel.
If you are driving, please go to The Hilton Desoto Savannah website for directions.
Refunds
The Balm In Gilead will fully refund registration fees through July 12, 2002.
No refunds will be given after this date. The Balm In Gilead is not responsible
for refunds associated with hotel accommodations and airlines.
Staying over Saturday Night
The Hilton Desoto Savannah is a complete recreational resort including area attractions
and recreation activities.
