AIDS prayer week begins March 3

The 13th annual Black Church Week of Prayer for the Healing of
AIDS will be held March 3 through March 9.
The events will provide spiritual leadership, compassion and information
to help families facing HIV/AIDS.
Beginning on March 3, participating churches will hold programs
relating to AIDS issues. Churches can register to participate by
calling (888) 225-6243.
The African American Health Initiative and the Montgomery and Potomac
Valley alumnae chapters of Delta Sigma Theta will hold ``The Sound
of Silence: HIV/AIDS and African Americans" event on March
9 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Eastern Middle School in Silver Spring.
Registration for the free forum begins that day at 8:30 a.m.
