The Balm In Gilead, located in New York has been the catalyst for
education and mobilizing Black churches nationwide to provide AIDS
education to their congregations and communities for the past twelve
years through their founding of the "Black Church Week of Prayer
for the Healing of AIDS."
In observance of the "Black Church Week of Prayer for the
Healing of AIDS" locally, Antioch Baptist Churches' AGAPE Program,
a certified partner of the Balm in Gilead will be hosting events
at Antioch, 8869 Cedar Avenue.
Sunday, March 4 a program "Seven Spiritual Words For the Healing
of AIDS" will take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday,
March 7 there will be a Prayer/Candlelighting vigil from 7 to 9
p.m. and Antioch.
