    Black Church Week Of Prayer For AIDS Includes All-City Prayer For AIDS Includes All-City Prayer Vigil For Africa

    Black Church Week of Prayer for the Healing of AIDS will be held at Allen AME Church, 1223 Martin Luther King, Jr. Way. The week begins on Sunday, March 4, with a special worship service at l I a.m. where Senator Rosa Franklin will talk about AIDS in the African American community.

    On Thursday, March 8, the Ellen Kellum Missionary Society Unit III will sponsor a workshop for women at 7 p.m. Also on that day, the NAACP's video, "Our Sister's Keepers," will be shown, and a discussionwill be held on why two-thirds of women infected with HIV are African American.

    Then on Saturday, March 10, from I to 3 p.m., you are invited to join a host of Tacoma's faith leaders in prayer for the AIDS epidemic in Africa. Come to pray for hope, compassion, healing, unity, commitment, and action. Come to pray for the children those who are orphaned and those who are dying. Come to pray first, then learn what you can do to help. Sis. Charlezetta Nixon is president of the Ellen Kellum Missionary Society. Sis. Lynda Thomas is head of the AIDS Ministry of the Ellen Kel|um Missionary Society.
