Become a Balm In Gilead Black Church HIV/AIDS Network Partner by making a commitment to do something about the horrendous problem of AIDS in Black communities here at home and throughout the African Diaspora. By partnering with The Balm In Gilead, your church will join thousands of churches in the national and international fight against HIV/AIDS. The Black Family worldwide is being destroyed by HIV/AIDS. Urgently, we must respond!

Throughout its history, the Black church has provided shelter, food, financial help, emotional and spiritual support to those in need. The present crisis of AIDS in Black communities has created an even greater demand for our churches to address the plight of our people.

Requirements of Church Partners

• Create or sustain an effective AIDS Ministry.
  

• Provide spiritual leadership and care to all persons infected and affected by HIV/AIDS.
  

• Provide AIDS education information and resources to your congregation and community.
  

• Observe The Black Church Week of Prayer for the Healing of AIDS (beginning the first Sunday in March).
  

• Observe the annual Our Church Lights the Way: The Black Church HIV/AIDS Testing Campaign.
