The Balm in Gilead develops its own unique Initiatives and Programs and also partners with selected groups to help promote its mission. We are committed to uniting women in the United States and in Africa to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS and all the available prevention methods. Our Faith Lights The Way is a national campaign designed to mobilize all faith communities, especially African Americans, to speak loudly from their pulpits to educate and encourage every person in their congregation and community to Get Tested for HIV.
National Week of Prayer for the Healing of AIDS The purpose of The National Week of Prayer for the Healing of AIDS is to bring national attention to the AIDS epidemic in the United States and the extraordinary role faith communities can and are playing in AIDS prevention, education, service and advocacy.
