Reverend Dr. Barbara Austin-Lucas is an itinerant elder of the African
Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church. In 1974 she was selected as the first participant
in the Teachers-in-Partnership Program sponsored by the AME denomination and assigned
to Monrovia, Liberia, West Africa. For five years, Rev. Dr. Austin-Lucas served
the Christian community of Liberia as an educational missionary, teaching English

DR. YVETTE FLUNDER: Rev. Flunder founded the City of Refuge Community
Church UCC in 1991 in order to unite a gospel ministry with a social ministry.
City of Refuge is a thriving inner-city congregation that celebrates the radically
inclusive love of Jesus Christ. Preaching a message of action, the church has
experienced steady numerical and spiritual growth and is now located in the south

Ella Pearson Mitchell, M.A., D. Min., L.H.D. : Ella Pearson Mitchell
has team taught with her husband as Visiting Professor of Homiletics a the Interdenominational
Theological Center, Atlanta, 1988-2001. She also co-mentored in D. Min. Programs
at United Theological Seminary, Dayton, OH (1991-2001). Prior to their team teaching
she served two years as the first female Dean of Sisters Chapel at Spelman College,
and four years as Assoc. Professor of Christian Education at the Proctor School
of Theology, Virginia Union University, Richmond. More
