The Balm In Gilead, Inc. is an international not-for-profit, non-governmental
organization established in 1989 with a mission to improve the health status
of people of the African Diaspora by building the capacity of faith communities
to address life-threatening diseases, especially HIV/AIDS.
The organization is an 18-year old advocacy and faith-based capacity building
organization that addresses HIV/AIDS and other health disparities in the African
American community and in Africa. With three regional and international offices,
these positions offer a unique opportunity to help guide the organization in
its next phase of ground-breaking work regarding public health and faith interventions
that are designed to save the lives of people throughout the African Diaspora,
specifically, African Americans and Africans.
